Do You Consider Yourself to be Proficient in Magazine Changes?

When is the last time you spent 15 minutes working on your magazine changes?

Let’s even take a step back from that… Have you ever done magazine changes? Do you consider yourself to be proficient?  Are you consistent from one day to the next?

Regardless of how you answered these questions, it’s always a good idea to get a fresh perspective.  See how Dom Raso does his magazine changes in the video below.  Notice how he’s consistent.  Also notice that he knows why he is doing every single little step in this process.  Watching this video was interesting to me because over the years he talks about how his magazine change process has changed and he talks you through it.
My magazine change is similar to that of Dom’s, but regardless of the nuances, you need to be proficient in this skill set.  This is critical in the heat of battle and you don’t want to fuddle around when seconds, even split seconds can be the difference between life and death.  The magazine change is like so many other things in training in that is perishable and requires maintenance and a lot of repetition.
When a magazine change can be the difference between you going home to dinner or not, remember this…  repetition leads to muscle memory; muscle memory to instinct; and instinct is the ability to make the right decision before you can articulate how your arrived at that decision.  In any case, thanks for putting out the good information Dom… For more information on Dom, go to his website: https://dynamisalliance.com/
